However, the goal sparked a pitch invasion by Morocco fans who were unhappy with the decision to allow the goal to stand.
The match was eventually restarted but the chaos continued as more fans invaded the pitch.
The match was eventually abandoned after 10 minutes of play with Argentina leading 3-2.
